He has taught finance and accounting at the American University of Iraq , and delivered professional training for leading companies in Iraq, international NGOs, and private institutions. His consulting work has focused on financial planning and analysis, accounting standard, investment strategy, and business development.
He has also founded and led two businesses in the financial sector, including the first mutual fund company in Kurdistan, giving him hands-on experience with both investment decision making and business operations in the region.
As CEO of Mastermind, Dr. Soran brings together his academic expertise, practical business background, and deep understanding of both local and international financial systems to support clients with high-impact, actionable consulting.
A management and strategy expert with over 25 years of experience in business, education, human resources, entrepreneurship, and business development. Ismail has held leadership roles across the corporate, academic, and non-profit sectors, with deep expertise in organizational leadership, strategic planning, and corporate management. He has also contributed to higher education and electoral consulting, and is the author of several books on leadership, management, and HR.
He holds an MBA from the University of Technology, Malaysia, a Master’s in Computer Science from St. Clements University – Iraq, and a BSc in Mathematics from Salahaddin University.
